Togetherness is a work methodology.
Would togetherness come to your mind as a key to successful tech delivery for major sport events? Very often, in our field, we associate positive outcomes to being technically competent. However, it is easy to find tech experts in the global market, and therefore if the recruitment is correctly done it is rare that someone fails to deliver a big event for lack of technical skills. Generally, failure or success relies on soft skills.
The ability to team in a collaborative, transparent, and supportive way is one of the many crucial soft skills Legacy Groupe fosters across its team and network. It is an ability that needs to be cultivated through experiences of togetherness, such as the recent strategic planning retreat held by our Lausanne office. During a full day in a cosy chalet up in the Swiss mountains, we mixed team-building activities, discussions to envision and plan 2025, and informal moments to relax and have fun.
We believe that what makes those moments different from a traditional work event is the clarity of our values and our organisational culture. We gather around a common goal, as well as a shared way of being and relating to each other. Our retreat is not an “HR activity” that makes some of us cringe, but a moment of communion we all look forward to.
For that reason, each of us contributed to making the best of this day. The careful selection of homemade food, with inclusive options for all diets, the stunning location, and the diverse activities, from systemic games and fun quizzes to swat analysis, were part of a togetherness web weaved by all through our attitudes towards one another.
The results will be seen and felt in what we will share and do during 2025, but you can have a taste here through some images we captured. We hope you feel inspired to encourage togetherness in your team, because it is an amazing and effective approach to work!
