Summer Study Tour 2024 – 18th June
For those who missed the 4th day of the Lausanne Summer Study Tour on the 18th of June, here are some highlights.
Hosted at the FIVB, we went back to the roots of the Olympic idea with Prof. Sylvian Fachard from UNIL speaking about the Status of the Athlete in Ancient Greece and Dr. Panayota Badinou also from UNIL discussing the question of women and girls in physical activity in Ancient Greece.
Christiaan Page, Executive Director of Legacy Groupe, took us through the evolution of technology at the modern Games followed by the presentation of a new technological invention «Eyecap’, a connected swimming cap, which would help blind swimmers to navigate their race independently, presented by Aziz Orfia and Luis Miranda.
Lunch at the Olympic Museum Café was followed by an afternoon at the Olympic Study Centre and a visit to the Olympic Museum.
